Introduction
The Spindles is Oldham's reimagined town centre destination, bringing together shopping, an indoor market, and a brand new events venue as part of a £450m borough-wide regeneration programme.

The Spindles needed a website that could serve three distinct venues under one roof. The Spindles (shopping), The Market (Oldham's relocated indoor market), and The Loom (a new 1,000-capacity events space) each required their own identity, content, and navigation while sitting cohesively within a single build.
We built a single site with a dynamic header system that switches branding and navigation contextually depending on which venue the visitor is browsing. Alongside this, we developed a custom News CPT with taxonomy filtering across all three venues, a trader directory for The Market, an enquiry system for The Loom, and parking and visitor information throughout.

To re-invigorate the online presence of The Waggon, a beloved 19th Century establishment in Uppermill. The Waggon needed a modern, user-friendly website that highlights their delightful dining experience, rich heritage, and cosy atmosphere.
We developed a bespoke website that makes it easy for customers to view menus, book tables, and stay updated on special offers and events. With an emphasis on beautiful design and seamless functionality, we created an online platform that reflects the charm and warmth of The Waggon, ensuring a delightful experience for visitors.
The Waggon Inn website launched in Autumn 2024 and we have been really impressed with the upgrades made to both the desktop and mobile versions compared to our original website. We highly recommend portridge as a company to work alongside. Nice people who respond to questions and respond to website changes promptly.
The process of putting the website together has been smooth and working with Portridge to create the format and overall design has been a pleasure. To create an technically advanced website for an industry leading demolition company. Total wanted a flexible, agile website which was not only brand focussed and modern, but also allowed them to deliver a wide range of content to their audience with ease.
In order to deliver this content rich project, we needed to be creative with the structure of the site. Utilising eight different dynamic content types, including Live Project Maps, Insights, Careers and Case Studies, we created a Bespoke Content Management System allowing Total to effortlessly publish engaging information, videos and graphics.
